Dragon Family and Friends,
Let me introduce myself and my 1SG, I am CPT Joseph M Harrison, I am the current Company Commander and 1SG Damon Oliver is the current First Sergeant for D / 1-72 AR. 1SG Oliver and I have been in position for 8 and 6 months each respectively and have had the privilege to lead and train your love ones in preparation for our military missions here in South Korea and their future missions around the world. Over the last six months we have conducted a Tank Gunnery, multiple Small Arms Gunneries, multiple Field Training Exercises, numerous virtual maneuver exercises, and extensive maintenance on our vehicles and equipment.
We have been moving at an extraordinary pace and asked much from our soldiers, and they have consistently risen to the challenges placed before them. As we move into the spring and summer time frame we recognize that much of the unit we have built together through the winter will change as new soldiers come and as old soldiers rotate out into the Army. It is our hope that we can ease the stresses of this transition and ensure that all soldiers, coming and going, from Delta are armed with the resources necessary to take care of themselves and their families.
For the soldiers and families leaving Delta Company we appreciate your hard work and commitment to our military profession. To the soldiers and families coming into Delta we welcome the opportunity to train and serve with you. The Republic of Korea is an excellent place to build and strengthen the core competencies of our profession and prepare ourselves for all the missions the future may hold.
Thank you for your service, your support, and your dedication to our country and to the great men who protect and defend it.
